The Computer Applications Council of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) has changed its name to the Information Technology Council to more accurately reflect its focus and the role of its members within their organizations. The council aims to broaden its spectrum of research, education, and products related to the technology industry, especially regarding the role of the Internet in facilities management.
The council, which has approximately 240 members, is one of 15 special interest groups within IFMA that support facility professionals in vertical industries such as educational and cultural institutions, research and development laboratories, financial centers, call centers, corporate headquarters, utilities and health care facilities.
