IFMA Foundation and FMLink launch joint major FM research survey

May 5, 2008—The IFMA Foundation and FMLink are conducting an international research survey for facility managers. The survey, sponsored by ABM Industries, Inc. and Planon, Inc., is designed to provide feedback related to topics of interest to facility managers worldwide.

Users are asked to rate categories of interest and, for each category, specific research topics. Major categories for the topics include: Energy Management; Emergency Planning; Security and Disaster Recovery; Technology; Health and Safety; Maintenance and Operations; Outsourcing; Metrics/Benchmarks; Sustainability; Strategic FM; Best Practices; Facility Condition Assessment; Financial; Training, Certification and Education; and FM Legal Issues.

The survey results will be used by the IFMA Foundation to rank the production of its educational white papers and by FMLink to help prioritize content of its Web site.
