April 18, 2007—Deliver the Green, a research report released by the IFMA Foundation, provides an overview of the best opportunities available for incorporating sustainability principles into existing buildings, including the related costs and benefits.

Facility managers practicing green operations and maintenance in their buildings offer their insights in the report regarding the best sustainable opportunities.

These areas of opportunity involve using the rating system as a framework for successful facility operation and upgrades; implementing energy and water conservation measures; creating healthy indoor environments; purchasing sustainable products; practicing preventive maintenance; managing and documenting sustainable building operations; and communicating sustainability goals, procedures and achievements.

The IFMA Foundation is a non-profit corporation providing education, research and scholarships for the benefit of facility management professionals and students. Deliver the Green in its entirety is available on the IFMA Foundation Web site.
