November 12, 2008—The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) has announced the winners of its Awards of Excellence, recognizing groups and individuals who have made significant contributions to the facilities management profession and the association. Awards were presented at IFMA’s World Workplace 2008 Conference & Expo.
The 2008 categories and winners include: Sheila Sheridan Award of Excellence for Sustainable Design and Energy Efficient Projects: Adobe Systems and Cushman & Wakefield;
George Graves Award for Facility Management Achievement: Mark C. Horan, CFM, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City
Distinguished Author Award of Excellence for an Article: Bill Conley, CFM, CFMJ, LEED-AP, IFMA Fellow
Distinguished Author Award of Excellence for a Book: Diane C. Stegmeier
IFMA Associate Member Award: Betty J. Friedrichs, LEED-AP
Student Chapter of the Year Award: Oklahoma State University Student Chapter of IFMA
Council of the Year Award: Corporate Facilities Council of IFMA
