November 22, 2004—The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) has announced that four universities with certificate programs in facility management will now be officially recognized by the association in a new program to enhance professional development.
The four certificate program (CP) schools are: George Washington University in Manassas, Virginia; University of California-Berkeley, Berkeley, California; University of California-Irvine, Irvine, California; and University of Washington, Seattle, Washington.
IFMA Recognized Programs, CP, is designed to help advance excellence in the education and practice of facilities managers. IFMA’s CP standards apply only to facility management certificate programs offered through extension or continuing education divisions of colleges and universities.
