March 9, 2007—A free pandemic preparedness manual has been prepared for the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Foundation by Environmental and Occupational Risk Management (EORM), Inc.
The manual is designed to provide facility management professionals with a reference document to assist in planning for, controlling, and responding to the avian influenza and pandemic influenza threats. It also provides general guidance on establishing and maintaining a business continuity program.
While this manual is geared toward the FM profession, it notes that disaster preparedness is most effective when applied on an organization-wide basis.
The manual is free, and is available through a link on the IFMA Foundation’s home page.
