IIR releases 2002 Industrial Outlook

December 24, 2001—Industrial Information Resources has released its 2002 Industrial Outlook, a forecast of trends that will impact future industrial capital & MRO project expenditures for the coming year. According to IIR, corporations that own, operate or in the process of building new plants in the U.S., will spend more than $260 billion in 2002 on capital and maintenance projects domestically.

The 2002 Industrial Outlook predicts which industries are planning to spend the most on capital and maintenance projects and those that are experiencing downsizing and project spending reductions.

There is also a segment dedicated to international project spending trends covering the Power, Petroleum Refining, Chemical Processing and Metals and Minerals Processing industries.
