Indus International unveils InSite, a multinational asset and work management solution

April 12, 2002—Indus International has unveiled Indus InSite, a multinational collaborative asset and work management solution designed specifically for industries such as facilities management, discrete manufacturing and consumer packaged goods. InSite is delivered via a hosted, subscription-based model for rapid implementation.

With support for international standards and dynamic language translation capabilities, the product enables users from anywhere in the world to leverage the solution using their own native language. As a result, according to ARC Director of Consulting Houghton LeRoy, “Global companies can use Indus InSite to manage their heavy assets and maintenance, improve personnel productivity, streamline work and supply chain processes.”

InSite is built on an open, standards-based component architecture, which facilitates modular deployment without risk of obsolescence. InSite includes an intuitive interface, which presents only information relevant to each user via a role-based inbox and a context-sensitive search engine, which gathers information across multiple categories.

InSite performs transformation of complex data into useful business information, including key performance indicators that graphically present defined measurements and detailed analyses and configurable workflows to ensure proper information flow, then pushes the information to the appropriate user in the workflow.

InSite also fully supports the wireless enterprise, including mobile/wireless devices such as PDAs, Smart phones, pagers or any Internet-connected device.

A context-sensitive search engine locates any information that is needed, including data from asset records, work orders, inventory and other categories, and then ranks the results by relevancy.
