November 19, 2003—A new initiative by Indus International broadens its successful integration of asset, customer and workforce management applications for the utilities industry and additional markets. The Service Delivery Management (SDM) is built upon Indus’s success in delivering integrated enterprise asset management (EAM), customer relationship management/customer information systems (CRM/CIS) and workforce management (WFM) applications for the utility industry. The SDM initiative will enable organizations in a wide array of business-to-business and business-to-consumer sectors to take advantage of the growing demand for cost-effective and efficient service delivery operations.
The initiative represents the formalization of a strategy Indus has been executing since its announcement of its ActionPoint Management vision and acquired the customer management technology from SCT Corporation’s Global Energy and Utilities Solutions divisions, according to Indus chairman and CEO Tom Madison. He adds that the resulting combination of CIS and EAM—combined with workforce management from third party applications—for the first time has enabled real-time responsiveness to service requests from the meter to the plant.
