May 26, 2003—Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO), Japan’s largest electric power company and the world’s largest private electric power company, has a contract with Indus International for a localized version of Indus’s PassPort. The enterprise asset management solution is for nuclear utilities, to enhance work management and reporting capabilities for its nuclear facilities.
TEPCO chose Indus to provide the advanced work management and reporting system for its nuclear generation facilities. It cites PassPort as uniquely suited to the nuclear industry. The decision to use Indus also was governed by Indus’s market share, expertise, and successful track record in nuclear power.
The PassPort solution purchased by TEPCO includes Work Management, Inventory Management, and Action Tracking that will support current maintenance improvement initiative across the nuclear division.
