Industrial Nanotech exploring commercial roof insulation for major roofing company

March 12, 2008—Industrial Nanotech, Inc., an emerging global leader in nanotechnology, has announced that it will be entering the commercial roof insulation market through the development of a lightweight thermal insulation tile for a major commercial roofing company.

“We recently received a request to supply a product which can be integrated into current standard commercial roofing materials,” stated Stuart Burchill, CEO/CTO of Industrial Nanotech, Inc. “This is a product line we have been working on for several years and we are quite confident that we can integrate our current capabilities into products that are Energy Star qualified and will be widely used on the roofs of warehouses, manufacturing facilities, office buildings, and public facilities. In addition, we have started establishing distribution channels, the first of which includes a well established commercial roofing contractor doing high volume, large scale projects. We anticipate that this market will quickly come to represent one of the largest revenue streams for Industrial Nanotech, Inc.”

The roofing market in the US was a $12.7 billion in 2006 and global demand for roofing materials is estimated to grow to $54 billion by 2010. Rising energy costs have made energy efficient roofing materials a priority in both new construction and re-roofing projects.

Nansulate is the company’s patented product line of specialty coatings containing a nanotechnology based material and which are well-documented to provide the combined performance qualities of thermal insulation, corrosion prevention, and resistance to mold growth in an environmentally safe, water-based, coating formulation, according to the company. The Nansulate Product Line includes both industrial and residential coatings.
