August 22, 2005—The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) has awarded Inscape’s Platform office furniture systems with GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification. Platform was tested to GEI’s stringent indoor air quality requirements to confirm that it does not release harmful chemicals into the air. The Platform system can be specified and used without worry of its impact on the well-being of office occupants.
The Platform System can be applied to US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Rating Systems for New Construction and Commercial Interiors.
Many common indoor furnishings and building materials release dangerously high levels of chemicals into the air of offices and homes where people live and work.
Inscapes Platform System is easy to reconfigure and offers large amounts of storage, the company says. For more on Inscape, visit its Web site.
The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute (GEI) is an independent, non-profit organization that oversees the GREENGUARD Certification Program. For more on the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute, visit its Web site.
