April 6, 2005—The B&B ARMR division of Integrated Security Systems (ISSI) has signed a letter of intent with Modular Security Systems, Inc., to jointly sell and manufacture the MSSI portable security portal line bundled with a wide range of ISSI security technology. Together, the companies say they will provide unique security portals that will quickly and efficiently guard large facilities or events on a temporary or permanent basis.
The companies plan to offer the MSSI security portals in combination with fixed and portable anti-terrorist barriers by B&B ARMR and access control technology and monitoring consoles by the Intelli-Site and DoorTek divisions of ISSI in integral project-specific packages. The portals will provide from two to four turnstile stations guarded by integrated access control technology. The units will have all the electrical, air conditioning, and administration office space provisioning in place and ready to drop at a site, needing only basic electrical service hook up, according to the joint-ventured companies.
