interBiz improves service and reduces cost of property management software

December 24, 2001—interBiz, the e-business applications division of Computer Associates International, recently announced the availability of its Property Management Option for BizWorks, the company’s e-business process management suite. The Property Management Option improves efficiency and customer service in national or global real estate facility management by allowing employees, facilities managers, and tenants to create Web-enabled service requests that are automatically processed by BizWorks according to policies that owners or property managers determine.

The system notifies managers when property management-oriented key performance indicator thresholds are met or exceeded so that timely and appropriate action can be taken. In addition, the new option exploits BizWorks’ workflow capabilities to generate, disseminate, and execute an entire work-order process from initiation of a service request to the completion of the work by a vendor. “Previously, property managers had to work with multiple systems, manual processes, and a plethora of third-party vendors. Property management was expensive and labor-intensive,” says Mike Connolly, general manager and senior vice president at interBiz. “The BizWorks Property Management Option centralizes control, orchestrates operations regionally, nationally or globally, and provides better service at a lower cost.”
