July 16, 2003—ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Council decided on a new method to update ISO’s strategy for 2005-2010, as the organization sets “standards for a sustainable world.” ISO members are invited to consult at the national level with representatives of the various groups of stakeholders in the standardization process, using the approach and methods that best suit their respective environments, with the goal of providing a consolidated national view.
The outcome of these consultations will be used to develop ISO’s strategy for 2005-2010, in order for ISO’s General Assembly to adopt it in 2004. To take part in this exercise, contact the ISO national standards body in your country or visit ISO.
