ISS enters the schools meals sector with the acquisition of Caterhouse

May 2, 2007—ISS, one of England’s largest contract caterers, has acquired Caterhouse, bringing ISS Mediclean into the sector that provides meals for schools. Caterhouse prepares mid-day lunches for more than 40,000 children a day in more than 200 schools in London and the Southeast. Caterhouse, says ISS Mediclean, has a superb reputation for providing healthy options in school catering.

ISS Mediclean is the Healthcare Division in the UK of the global ISS Group, providing full facility services to the NHS and private hospitals. It has also entered the education sector in the Building Schools for the Future (BFS) projects.
