ISS spending spree continues

Facility services company ISS is to buy a German cleaning company and three Finnish service companies.

ISS has acquired the Stein Group, a facility services provider in the region of Wuppertal. The company, which has 760 employees and mainly provides general cleaning, has a turnover of approximately DKK 71m (6m). The purchase gives the Danish company its first presence in the region.

In Finland, ISS has acquired 80% of the shares in Rauman Siivouskeskus Oy, 70% of the shares in Oy Fuktor AB and 51% of the shares in Sekko Oy. Rauman is a provider of industrial cleaning in the western region of Finland. Its services include high-pressure cleaning, vacuum suction and sewage cleaning. Fuktor and Sekko provide damage control services in the western region of Finland.

In total, Rauman, Fuktor and Sekko have 121 employees and turnover of around DKK 64m (5.3m). The Finnish acquisitions expand ISS’ position in industrial services and damage control in the western region of Finland.

The three acquisitions in Finland are subject to satisfactory due diligence. Meanwhile in Belgium, the regulatory authorities have approved ISS’ acquisition of Group 4 Maintenance NV, a company with turnover of approximately DKK 228m (19m).
