ISS wins large facilities services contract in Sweden

October 12, 2005—ISS recently won a large facilities services contract at the Swedish power plant Forsmark Kraftgrupp, the company has announced. The contract, which runs five years from January 2006 and is worth around DKK 500 million, is one of the largest and most complex service assignments to date in the growing FM market in Sweden, notes ISS.

The contract involves several services, from hotel, restaurant, and conference services, to building maintenance and property services, to decontamination.

Forsmark Power Plant, part of the Vattenfall group, is situated on Sweden’s east coast in Uppsala County. Each year it produces about 20-25 billion kWh, which constitutes one-sixth of Sweden’s total electricity generation. The approximately 100 service employees at Forsmark will be transferred to ISS.
