October 31, 2005—ISSA, the largest international trade association for the cleaning industry, and Cleaning & Support Services Association (CSSA), the United Kingdom’s leading building service contractor association, have announced the formation of a strategic alliance.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will share membership details, and CSSA members will automatically receive ISSA membership. ISSA also will work with the UK government-funded training organization, Asset Skills, to provide training support programs for CSSA membership.
CSSA was originally established by companies in the UK to monitor standards and ensure proper representation for the cleaning industry and its members. CSSA membership accounts for more than 70 percent of total sales in the UK cleaning and support services market. The alliance with ISSA allows CSSA to deliver enhanced services and benefits and to provide members with access to ISSA’s vast array of educational and training products.
