November 14, 2007—ISSA (International Sanitary Supply Association) has released several more of an ongoing series of free online educational video clips on cleaning industry and business management issues. Two new clips have debuted each month throughout 2007.
In “The Power of Three,” Stephen Boyd explains why the number three makes presentations more compelling.
In “Sales Coaching” Jim Pancero shows how to provide informed leadership, in this case to a sales team, even if you’re inexperienced in the field.
In “Carpet Trends,” Bill Griffin discusses the trends of the carpeting industry, including specific materials such as sustainable and recyclable “green” carpeting materials. He also discusses technological advances in carpet cleaning and maintenance, and certification required for carpet cleaning processes.
In “Successful Succession,” Robert Wendover discusses the importance of training to help employees succeed as they take over new positions and responsibilities.
In “Differentiating Yourself,” Barry Wright says that rather than struggling to differentiate themselves from their peers, a service company should help the customer distinguish themselves from their competition. He says that solving the customers’ inventory and staffing problems will inspire their loyalty.
In “The Language of Communication,” Todd Hunt shows the importance of decoding how listeners process information in order to tailor information to the audience.
