February 14, 2007—ISSA (International Sanitary Supply Association) has released the fifth of an ongoing series of free online educational video clips on cleaning industry and business management issues. Two new clips will debut each month throughout 2007, according to the association.
The fifth Quick Clip features sales expert Jim Pancero, who helps companies focus their sales philosophy and materials on the customer.
The fourth clip features Bob Merkt, an IICRC-approved instructor, discussing how a clean environment—as well as visitors’ perceptions of a facility’s cleanliness—starts with floor care. The video explains why proper floor care is a vital investment in the overall cleanliness and operations of any facility.
The third clip, sponsored by The Andersen Co., features Alan Bigger, Director of Building Services for Notre Dame University, and president-elect of APPA, discussing “The Total Cost of Facility Ownership.” The video is designed to help FMs and others learn how to position cleaning as an integral investment in asset preservation.
The second features Dr. Fred Broder, who discusses the four main buyer personalities and provides quick, easy-to-apply tips on how to sell to them.
The first Quick Clip features Steve Ashkin, a pioneer of green cleaning and founder of The Ashkin Group consulting firm, discussing green cleaning. Ashkin promotes a stronger environmental profile among cleaning product manufacturers and suppliers, and the use of environmentally preferable products.
The Quick Clips series, broadcast on ISSA-TV, the association’s online video community, provides brief (two-to-five-minute) video clips from an array of industry-specific and general business experts, on topics ranging from communication skills and sales techniques to green cleaning and workloading.
