February 5, 2007—Jacobs Engineering Group has been selected to provide project and construction management services for the Children’s Museum of Northern Virginia (CMNOVA). The project is currently in site selection and will soon begin the architectural selection process.
As envisioned today, the CMNOVA facility will consist of more than 150,000 sq.ft. to provide children with an interactive exploration and science center in partnership with schools, businesses, and the community. The facility will include a 300-seat auditorium, a music and arts facility, a planetarium, as well as exhibits from major defense and technology sponsors in Northern Virginia and the surrounding Washington DC area.
