JG Architectural offers high-end eco-friendly hardwood floor

August 3, 2007 — JG Architectural Supply has introduced a new environmentally friendly hardwood flooring product for commercial and residential application.

Whether it’s for a multi-million dollar dream home, an executive office, or a trendy restaurant, some consumers desire the utmost in grandeur. For these customers, JG Architectural Supply has reset the bar on prestigious flooring with its exclusive Antique Brazilian Barnwood.

The species used in JG’s Brazilian Barnwood flooring is known as Peroba. This beautiful wood was once considered the timber of choice for construction in Brazil, but became scarce after years of over-harvesting. It is now illegal to harvest this species in South America.

JG Architectural Supply has recovered antique Peroba timbers from 100-to-200 year old barns and factories throughout the Brazilian countryside. This makes the product truly eco-friendly, as it contains 100% recycled content, notes the company. All of these antique timbers are then kiln-dried and custom-milled, creating a beautiful product that is rich in history.
