September 2, 2005—UNICCO Service Company completed its fifth year of sponsorship of The Jimmy Fund/UNICCO Golf and Tennis Tournament. Since 2001, the company’s efforts have raised more than $550,000 for the organization to support cancer research. UNICCO is one of North America’s largest integrated facilities services companies.

Founded in 1948 to raise funds for the fight against children’s cancer, The Jimmy Fund supports the search for new cancer treatments and cures for both adults and children at the Dana-Faber Cancer Institute of Boston.

UNICCO’s relationship with The Jimmy Fund is driven by Michael Dunn, UNICCO vice president/business development. He is a past president of The Jimmy Fund Council of Greater Boston and has been involved with the organization since 1988 and the Boston Council Golf event since 1989. He has been an active fundraiser for the organization for numerous Council events during the last several years. Dunn says, “I’ve visited The Jimmy Fund Clinic and I’ve seen first hand the essence of the organization and the value of its services.”
