Johnson Controls, Inc. expands the M9206 spring return, electric actuator series with two new models, the M9206-BGA-2 and the M9206-BGC-2, used for two-wire, on/off control.
This family of spring return actuators delivers 53 pound-inches of torque. The M9206 Series is ideal for lower torque uses such as positioning air dampers and valves in HVAC systems. Specific applications include two-way valves, outside air dampers, exhaust fan dampers and fresh air dampers.
The M9206-BGC-2 model includes two adjustable 120V auxiliary switches capable of driving quarter-horsepower motors, eliminating the need to install an external relay. The spring return direction of the M9206 Series can be customized during installation because of its reversible mounting design. Other features include the half-inch removable coupler that provides field-selectable stroke adjustment and adapts to shorter damper shafts, and electronic stall detection throughout the entire range of motion. This detection increases actuator life by deactivating the actuator motor when a stall condition is detected.
