“Johnson Controls’ humidity, temperature sensors have super-fast response time”

Two new 2nd Generation Johnson Controls sensors—the HE-6700 Humidity Sensors with temperature element and the TE-6700 Series Temperature Sensors—both provide unrivaled response time to room-comfort demands. In testing conducted by Johnson Controls, both sensors responded within 8 minutes ( 2 minutes), or at least 25 percent faster than the competition. During the testing, the industry’s typical humidity temperature sensors for space applications took between 25 and 45 minutes to respond. And the industry’s typical temperature sensors for space applications took between 20 and 40 minutes to respond. Results were measured at an industry-standard air flow of 10 feet per minute.

The HE-6700 Series sensors are designed for use with most Johnson Controls controllers and now work directly with the VMA1200 and VMA1400 Series controllers. All HE-6700 units are tested, verified, and audited per NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). A number of new features, including a manual override Occupied/Unoccupied push button, are now standard on both the HE-6700 Series and the TE-6700 Series, with no increase in price compared with earlier models. All HE-6700 Series and TE-6700 Series sensors are shipped with a surface and U.S. wall-mounting plate with all installation hardware included.
