Johnson Controls has launched BOSmart, its e-business portal solution to the real estate market. The portal design integrates off-the-shelf portfolio management applications with communication and reporting tools to create a platform where a corporate real estate team and the outsourcing partner can work more collaboratively.
By integrating applications into one screen view, BOSmart facilitates communication and gives the end-user access to critical facility management data. Applications are tailored for the integral stakeholders in an outsourcing initiative, ranging from the corporate real estate executive, to the facility occupant; to the Johnson Controls account manager and the Johnson Controls employee that delivers day-to-day service.
Key applications on the first release of BOSmart include: Johnson Controls Global Best Practices Database, Web-enabled computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and a Web-based facility service request program. The first release also features report-writing capabilities that draw information from disparate enterprise software applications to derive more precise operational data.
