Johnson Controls scores major UK FM contract

May 10, 2002—Johnson Controls has scored a major new contract to provide landlord services to the Norwich Union Life and Pensions portfolio of investment properties in the UK.

Johnson Controls won the five-year contract, worth 9.5 million per annum, on the recommendation of Jones Lang LaSalle—managing agents for Morley Fund Management who act on behalf of the Norwich Union fund. Jones Lang Lasalle were assisted in the procurement process by FM consultants Presario Consultancy Ltd.

The portfolio comprises over 110 sites, ranging from retail and leisure parks to industrial and office properties. Jones Lang LaSalle required a service partner capable of providing an integrated, single source for delivery of facilities services to nearly 2,000 tenant companies.

Under the contract, Johnson Controls will provide a broad range of services including building management, fabric maintenance, reception and security, mechanical and electrical maintenance, landscaping, cleaning and waste disposal services. Johnson Controls will also be providing Morleys tenants with a single point of contact through a national Customer Service Centre.
