November 18, 2005—Johnsonite, a leader in flooring solutions that integrate design, function and life-safety, has announced the addition of eleven new profiles to its Millwork product line.
The new profiles provide customers with a wider variety of styles and sizes from which to choose: Diplomat (4-inch height, 3/8-inch gauge); Overlook (7-inch height, -inch gauge); Outline (3-inch height, 5/16-inch gauge); Attach (6-inch height, -inch gauge); Reveal (4-inch height, -inch gauge); Inflection (5-inch height, 3/8-inch gauge); Mandalay (4-inch height, 3/8-inch gauge); Silhouette (4-inch height, -inch gauge); Ambassador (4-inch height, 3/8-inch gauge); Envoy (5-inch height, -inch gauge); and Monarch (6-inch height, 3/16-inch gauge).
Millwork, a rubber contoured wall base with the look of finely milled wood at half the cost, previously was available in four profiles in 8-foot lengths. Johnsonite launched the product at Surfaces 2002.
A cost-effective and labor-reducing alternative to wood, Millwork requires no painting or staining, installs in half the time, flows easily around gentle curves or irregular surfaces, and offers customers a non-fading surface free of knots, grains or nail-heads, says the company.
Millwork is available in more than 130 colors and finishes, and can be accented by using Johnsonite’s self-stick Quarter Round and Shoe Moulding. Several profiles—Outline, Reveal, Silhouette—are available with Wall Art, a finish that reflects the look of wood and stone. The Silhouette profile was engineered to specifically work with laminate flooring.
