January 28, 2005—JOIN Computer & Control releases its JOINPRO video surveillance system coupled with Digi-Data’s Storm Xtreme Storage Management technology and Sanbolic’s Melio and LaScala products.
JOINPRO is designed to deliver a scalable, high-capacity video surveillance solution that provides support from 1 to 61,200 video/audio channels capturing from analog cameras, IP cameras, and IP Web servers in a wide range of capture speeds (1/16th to 30 fps per channel).
In addition it provides support for multiple resolutions and several compression methods. It has extended video storage through the combination of Digi-Data’s storage technology offering a high-availability, no single point of failure storage management technology expandable to 330TB per system and Sanbolic’s revolutionary file system that enables data sharing and freedom from LUN/volume size limitations imposed by standard operating systems.
Through this shared project JOIN’s partners say that they have managed to build a scalable networked camera surveillance system capable of capturing and transporting high volumes of quality video anytime, anywhere. The system was designed for all sizes of facilities in government, corporate, and industrial environments, urban monitoring, and airport surveillance.
