November 3, 2003—K.R. Moeller Associates Ltd. recently unveiled the first and only fully digital, networked sound masking, paging, and music system—the LogiSon Acoustic Network. This system meets the highest acoustic requirements while offering speed, ease, and versatility.
Current sound masking products are generally classified as central or decentralized (self-contained) systems. The LogiSon Network capitalizes on the strengths of both systems, providing greater flexibility than decentralized systems and all of the convenience of centralized control.
Because the network offers complete central control of individual speakers, there is no longer a need to enter the plenum space to complete fine-tuning or make future adjustments. As the client’s needs change, the network can be quickly retuned or reprogrammed using a centrally located control panel or remotely with user-friendly LogiSon PC Software.
Each hub contains a random masking sound generator, amplifier, and separate volume and equalizer controls for masking and paging. It provides digital-quality audio, as well as multiplexed paging and music. Adjustment options include one-third octave equalization and a calendar-based timer utility that allows masking settings to be programmed to accommodate varying levels of office activity during regular hours and holidays.
