Kaplan introduces online continuing education courses in architecture

November 1, 2006—Kaplan AEC Education, providers of exam preparation for emerging and established professionals in architecture, engineering and contracting, has announced its first line of continuing education courses.

The 20 new online courses were developed for the architecture industry and are approved by the American Institute of Architects (AIA). The courses are designed to help licensed architects enhance their industry knowledge while meeting the state continuing education requirements for licensure.

The architecture courses cover topics including: sustainable design; cost control in the design phase; principles of concrete; and lighting design and risk management. The one-hour-to-two-hour online-only courses include a standard reading assignment and a test, as well as shorter quizzes and interactive exercises to further test student’s understanding.

This addition to Kaplan’s current architecture exam prep offering underscores Kaplan’s commitment to providing lifelong learning solutions for architecture professionals throughout every stage of their career. New courses will be available at the end of 2006.

Courses cost $35 per credit hour.
