GORE Seating Protection has shown to improve seating fabric durability and maintenance requirements for upholstery textiles used in healthcare, education, corporate, and college and university applications. It provides a superior breathable moisture barrier, an anti-microbial treatment, and proven performance features including soil and stain-resistance to virtually any fabric.
GORE Seating Protection brings the same high quality to furnishings that GORE-TEX fabric continues to bring to apparel for work and recreational use. GORE Seating Protection resists stains and prevents substances from reaching the cushion beneath the fabric, while offering breathability for maximum seating comfort.
Available on practically any upholstery textile, GORE Seating Protection gives commercial design professionals more choices. Since this new technology is not limited to certain patterns or constructions, this breathable moisture-barrier technology can be applied to both standard and custom fabrics. With a very workable hand, GORE Seating Protection leaves fabrics softer than other coatings or laminates and makes upholstering easy.
In laboratory testing, GORE Seating Protection demonstrates a performance level well above current market standards.
Since the GORE moisture barrier prevents liquids and stains from reaching the foam cushion; the cushion stays dry and clean. Virtually all stains can be cleaned with a damp cloth and water. GORE Seating Protection also includes an anti-microbial treatment that helps prevent mold, mildew, and bacteria from growing into the upholstery fibers.
