March 15, 2004—KI and Inwood Office Environments of Jasper, Indiana have formed a new marketing alliance to further penetrate the contract design industry. In select markets in the U.S. and Canada, KI will use Inwood as a source for wood casegoods and educational products, supplementing KIs extensive and unique product mix.
“The KI/Inwood alliance enables us to offer a quality, mid-priced wood casegoods solution, and in turn, a single-source option for contract furniture needs,” said Dick Resch, president and CEO of KI. “The breadth of our line is enhanced, and Inwood is a welcome addition to our product mix.”
Both KI and Inwood stressed this alliance is not a precursor to an acquisition, which is precisely why the alliance is possible. Together, KI and Inwood have already tested the alliance in select areas with great success.
