KI introduces Genesis height-adjustable desk system

April 9, 2007—KI has introduced the Genesis Desking System, allowing workspace planners can tailor a complete systems furniture package that meets their needs for employee productivity, design flexibility and functional versatility, says KI.

The Genesis Desking System allows employees to take advantage of the trend toward a sit-stand style of working, which studies show brings a number of ergonomic benefits, says KI. The desks can be lowered or raised from the traditional 29-inch height to between 22 inches and 51 inches, based on the method specified for controlling adjustability. Genesis Desks offer three options for adjusting heights: pin, crank or electronic.

The adaptability of Genesis desking extends beyond table heights to offer interior designers and facility planners a range of systems furniture options. The system’s freestanding structure and modular components such as privacy screens, dividers and overhead storage can be used to construct a custom, compact workspace that optimizes space and adjusts to various work styles.

Designed to complement modern-office styles, Genesis Desking System has a metal base and utilizes the most current color palette, ranging from silver and metallics to traditional gray and light tones. To keep workspaces clean and organized, power and data are managed through PowerUp modules or hardwiring under the table surface.

KI manufactures furniture and wall system solutions for higher education, K-12, healthcare, government and corporate markets. For more information, visit the Web site.
