KI’s auditorium seating, classroom furniture win GREENGUARD certification

January 15, 2007—KI’s auditorium and classroom furniture are among the latest KI products to receive GREENGUARD certification from the Greenguard Environmental Institute (GEI) for low emitting products. The newest KI lines designated as GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified are Aria, Concertto, and Lancaster auditorium seating, and 360°, Intellect, and Ivy League classroom furniture.

These products join 25 of KI’s seating products and its Genius architectural walls, which received GREENGUARD Certification in 2006.

In auditorium seating, Aria has an articulating back and ergonomic design. Concerto auditorium seating has firm support for long-term seating and a counter-balanced gravity-lift seat. The seat of Lancaster auditorium seating has Ultra-Flex webbing for a cushy “give” for comfort.

In classroom furniture, 360°, with a choice of a rectangular, round, and square top, can rotate 360 degrees. Intellect classroom furniture is light and durable and has an up-to-date look. Ivy League furniture comes in a variety of sizes, styles, and configurations in thermoset hard plastic or lightweight ABS plastic.

To achieve GREENGUARD Certification, products must undergo a series of tests to verify that the products meet GEI’s standards for low chemical emissions. Further, these Certified products must complete quarterly testing to ensure they maintain low emitting status.
