Landscape Forms chairs meet ANSI/BIFMA standards

January 28, 2002—Landscape Forms, a major designer and manufacturer of exterior commercial furniture, announced January 25, 2002, that its entire chair collection has been tested to the prevailing ANSI/BIFMA performance and safety standards and meets all the applicable criteria. The tests conducted include back strength, back durability, arm strength, arm durability, seating impact, drop test, structural durability, base test, leg strength, unit drop test, and stability tests. The Landscape Forms collection includes Catena, Firenze, Traverse, and Verona chairs.

The Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer’s Association (BIFMA) works with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to produce voluntary standards for manufacturers of office furnishings. The standards are intended to provide manufacturers, specifiers, and users with a common basis for evaluating the safety, durability, and structural adequacy of general-purpose office chairs.
