Landscape Forms intros flexible, attractive recycling bin system

October 26, 2009—Landscape Forms, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of award-winning commercial outdoor furniture and accessories, has introduced Sort, a flexible system of collection bins and organizing basket for interior as well as exterior use. Created by designer John Rizzi with sustainability in mind, Sort offers a neat and attractive inducement to do the right thing for the environment, says the company.

The distinctive top shape of Sort makes openings highly visible and convenient to reach while protecting contents and easily shedding water, notes Landscape Forms. The powdercoated steel basket organizes large (50 gallon) and small (25 gallon) rotational molded polyethylene bins into a choice of configurations: four small, two small and one large, or two large. Bins may be positioned to face one direction, or individually turned 90 or 180 degrees within the basket, thus offering openings in multiple directions. Bins can also stand alone and accommodate litter if desired.

Sort is offered in a palette of colors, including fresh new blue and green hues. Sign plates are mechanically fastened to the bins allowing signage to be updated as recycling programs evolve. Bag clips inside the bins eliminate unsightly overhang. Lids lift off for easy emptying, and this clever recycling solution is itself completely recyclable at the end of its long life.

The Sort recycling system may be utilized to help achieve LEED MR Prerequisite 1: Storage and Collection of Recyclables, says Landscape Forms.

Landscape Forms an industry leader in design and manufacture of site furniture, outdoor lighting and accessories, and was recently named by the Wall Street Journal as one of the Top 15 Small Workplaces in the United States.
