March 15, 2006—Landscape Forms introduces The Landmark Collection, composed of three distinct groups of outdoor commercial seating and accessories designed by three distinguished design professionals and inspired by familiar themes in architecture, nature, and historic design.
Margaret McCurry’s Lakeside, John Rizzi’s Parc Vue, and Brian Kane’s Towne Square evoke other places and times with vernacular and classic designs, explains the company, a major producer of outdoor furniture and accessories. At the same time, adds Landscape Forms, they are smartly original in form and spirit, and up-to-the-minute in their use of materials and technology.
Architect McCurry’s inspiration for Lakeside came from the homesteads and landscapes of the small towns and waterside communities for which she has created award-winning architecture.
Designer John Rizzi took his inspiration from traditional cast iron furniture and organic, asymmetric patterns in nature. Designer Brian Kane found the familiar in forms from interior furniture. In Towne Square he marries the welcoming gesture of a rollback sofa and the comfort of gently curved seats with a variation on classic metal strap construction.
Landscape Forms is a designer, manufacturer, and marketer of commercial outdoor furniture and accessories and has won numerous design awards during its 35-year history.
