February 21, 2007—Lee Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of solutions that enable commercial enterprises and public sector agencies nationwide to avoid disaster and mitigate risk to their IT infrastructures, has announced that CyrusOne, Houston’s largest IT services and co-location company, has selected Lee Technologies to build out the expansion of its 60,000-square-foot Tier 4 enterprise data center.
Located within CyrusOne’s technology campus, the new high-density facility is designed from the ground up to provide 250 watts of power per square foot to support the demands of the power-hungry blade servers, says Lee.
According to Nemertes Research, companies are finding they need to bring in more servers to support a growing demand; however this effects power, heat and cooling — issues that are becoming increasingly important in designing today’s data centers.
