September 12, 2003—Lexmark International has announced the creation of the Lexmark Equipment Collection Program, part of Lexmark’s ongoing effort to provide customers with environmentally friendly alternatives when disposing of Lexmark products that have reached the end of their useful life. Consumers or businesses can obtain program details by going to the Lexmark recycling home page.
The Lexmark Equipment Collection Program is the latest in a series of environmental initiatives Lexmark has launched over the past several years. For example, Lexmark is a partner in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Plug-In To eCycling initiative. The company also has entered into agreements with Envirocycle and Nxtcycle to participate in regional electronic-equipment collection events.
