Lightfair International 2000, the largest architectural and commercial lighting Trade Show in North America and the world’s largest architectural and commercial lighting Conference, exceeded all exhibitor and attendance expectations in New York, NY when it hosted 18,638 architectural, engineering, and design professionals at Javits Convention Center, in May of 2000. The show featured more than 400 commercial and architectural lighting manufacturers, occupying over 1,000 booths as exhibitors for the 2000 event.
During The New Product Showcase & Awards Presentation, sponsored by Architectural Lighting Magazine and Lightsearch.com, a panel of Judges selected the following award winning products: The Best New Product of the Year Award was presented to the Style F305, by elliptipar; The Technical Innovation Award was presented to the SuperDimTM Digital with Address ProTM by Energy Savings; The Design Excellence Award was presented to the ARIATM by Zumtobel Staff Lighting; The Energy Award was presented to the Selective Switching Three + Four Lamp T8 Ballast by Energy Savings; The Second Annual Roeder Award, in appreciation of the late Mr. Craig A. Roeder for his dedication and commitment to the lighting industry, to Martin Professional for the MiniMac; and the second annual Judges Citation Award went to the AE 565 – Architectural Daylighting Course by Penn State University.
