June 9, 2006—Linc Facility Services (LFS) has purchased MET Electrical Testing, the first independent electrical testing and maintenance service company established in the US.
The acquisition, which also includes its Substation Test division and Carolina Electrical Testing subsidiary, will allow LFS to provide a new level of electrical power capabilities to its mission-critical and healthcare facilities clients in Pittsburgh, Baltimore, metropolitan Washington DC, Raleigh/Durham, and Virginia’s Richmond/Tidewater region. All three newly acquired companies were owned by Pepco Energy Services, a wholly owned and separately operated subsidiary of Potomac Electric Power Co.
According to the announcement, MET is the first and oldest independent electrical testing company in the US. The company, together with CET and Substation, provide a single source for professional electrical testing and engineering services that assure reliability, safety, and compliance of industrial and commercial electrical power systems and equipment.
