LogiSon Acoustic Network wins two Best of NeoCon awards

June 21, 2006—At NeoCon ’06 at The Merchandise Mart, Chicago, Version 2 of the LogiSon Acoustic Network earned the Silver Best of NeoCon Award in the Workplace Technologies category, while the company’s Remote Manager Software earned Gold in the Software Technology category.

The LogiSon Acoustic Network is a networked sound masking, paging and music system used to increase speech privacy and provide noise control in the workplace. The new Network Control Panel is Ethernet-enabled, allowing the user to manage the audio settings for facilities of up to 8 million square feet in size from one location, says the company, representing an increase in Network size of 13,000%.

Additional highlights include increased diagnostic capabilities, enhanced security featuring 128-bit encrypted communication and 3-tier password protection, and a programmable keypad. The programmable keypad and accompanying remote can be used to adjust or mute the sound masking and/or paging volume in private offices and conference rooms.

The Remote Manager Software runs on a handheld device, allowing the user to wirelessly control the audio settings for a single speaker, a group of speakers or the entire LogiSon Network. Masking, paging, music, zone, and keypad settings can be changed in minutes by a single user, without accessing the ceiling or altering existing cabling, literally putting acoustic control at the user’s fingertips.

LogiSon is manufactured by KR Moeller Associates Ltd., based in Burlington, Ontario, which is a company specializing in sound masking systems. For more information, see the Web site.
