December 8, 2003—Integrated facilities services provider MacLellan has scooped up the Premises and Facilities Management (PFM) Partnership Awards overall Best Partnership trophy for an unprecedented second year. MacLellan and its customer of five years, the stainless steel manufacturer AvestaPolarit Limited, also carried off the PFM Partners in Multi-Service Award.
This milestone, reached less than six years since the MacLellans formation from five diverse FM expert companies in 1998, follows a string of successes in the PFM Awards, including Overall Best Partnership and Multi-Service Awards in 2002 for work in the retail sector. MacLellan also collected awards for Multi-Service in 1999, Health & Safety in 2000 and the Public Sector in 2001, giving the outsourced services expert an unrivalled record amongst its peers. No other FM provider has won the overall prize more than once.
The judges praised MacLellan and AvestaPolarit for achieving an exceptional partnership, which has resulted in dramatic cost savings for AvestaPolarit over the life of the contract. So close is the working relationship between the two parties that MacLellan has taken on some of the process operations as well as a wide range of integrated facilities services.
