November 12, 2008—ISSA, “the worldwide cleaning industry association,” recently made joint announcements of new partnerships with the Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI) and the Canadian Sanitation Supply Association (CSSA).
ISSA and BSCAI’s alliance will capitalize on the strengths of both organizations for the betterment of the industry, their respective associations, and to benefit the members of each organization. The agreement is designed to create improved understanding, sharing, and efficiency for all parties.
ISSA and BSCAI will jointly collaborate to co-host or otherwise cooperate with events, educational programs, membership, and regulatory and civic issues toward providing mutual benefit for the members, whose businesses serve as distributors, building service contractors, in-house facility service providers, and manufacturers. Each group plans to participate in the other’s annual events–ISSA/INTERCLEAN North America and the BSCAI Annual Convention.
ISSA and CSSA further strengthened their long-standing alliance by announcing a new joint-membership program. CSSA companies wishing to become ISSA members will now be able to take advantage of a 15 percent dues discount, starting with 2009 membership. ISSA member companies wishing to join CSSA also will be able to discount their dues 15 percent in 2009.
The membership arrangement replaces previous agreements between ISSA and CSSA and was developed to help promote the added value of being a member in both associations. Both associations also have agreed to investigate other synergies that could lead to greater benefits for their respective memberships.
