Managed security systems a joint effort of CSC and Symantec

February 28, 2005—CSC and Symantec have entered into an alliance to offer integrated, end-to-end managed security services (MSS) worldwide. Under the agreement, Symantec will provide key elements of its security monitoring services, including intrusion detection, security device management, data analysis and correlation, further enhancing CSC’s comprehensive security solutions offering.

Combined capabilities include security architecture and planning, vulnerability assessments, security device monitoring and management, intrusion detection and prevention systems, incident response and forensics.

The joint offering combines Symantec’s capabilities as a global leader for information security with CSC’s heritage of experience delivering comprehensive security to government agencies and global enterprises, according to the companies.
