Massachusetts selects Meridians Prolog software to manage data for 5,000 building projects

November 21, 2003—Meridian Project Systems (MPS), a provider of project management software and ASP solutions, has announced that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Division of Capital Asset management (DCAM) has signed an agreement for a statewide implementation of Prolog Manager and Prolog Website. DCAM is the state agency responsible for public building construction and real estate services for Massachusetts.

DCAM was looking for a single solution to track project status from an owner’s point of view, as well as to coordinate tasks when DCAM directly manages and executes statewide projects. Prolog will help DCAM manage daily tasks on projects and coordinate communication with contracted construction managers, while allowing DCAM overall program and portfolio management of their hundreds of capital outlay projects for the construction and administration of the roughly 5,000 state-owned buildings across the Commonwealth. The MPS Professional Services Group will complete DCAM’s customization and implementation of Prolog.

Prolog Manager provides complete project control by automating all aspects of the construction life cycle, from project design to close out. Prolog WebSite complements Prolog Manager as a Web-based collaboration application designed for the extended project team, ensuring all participants, including the project owner, architect, construction manager, general contractor, subcontractor, and suppliers, are all well coordinated throughout the construction process.
