April 14, 2006—MAXIMUS announces that Indiana, Maine, Minnesota, and Washington, have signed contracts to implement the company’s fleet management software, FleetFocus. MAXIMUS is a government services company providing program management, consulting, and information technology services.
Indiana will implement FleetFocus as its statewide fleet management solution for more than 10,000 units and 50 fleet maintenance facilities. FleetFocus provides clear migration path allowing the state to convert three existing historical information systems into one common database with standardized coding for the entire state.
Minnesota will use FleetFocus to manage a statewide fleet in excess of 16,000 units. The initial agencies to use the system are Minnesota Travel Management Services, Dept. of Transportation, and Dept. of Natural Resources. FleetFocus will easily consolidate data that previously difficult to summarize. Dept. of Transportation will also implement FuelFocus that is a fully integrated component of FleetFocus.
Maine’s Dept. of Transportation is using FleetFocus to manage its central fleet and remote locations. The statewide implementation will track more than 5,000 units.
Washington State Motor Pool is a program within the Dept. of General Administration, which provides daily rental and permanently assigned vehicles for use by state agencies. There are about 11,400 vehicles in the fleet. Projecting a rapid growth and assuming management or ownership of vehicles currently owned by other agencies, it expects to double in size to 2,800 vehicles in the next four years. The state will be using FleetFocus’s asset and maintenance management capabilities as well as the solution’s on-line reservation system for Motor Pool.
