MDI wins contract for high-security government agency

February 2, 2007—MDI, Inc., a leading provider of Unified Technology solutions for the security industry, has announced that its MDI Security Systems and Global Systems Solutions (GSS) subsidiaries have been chosen to secure a large high-security government agency in the nation’s capital. The project, worth over $1.3 million to MDI, will be staged and executed over the next three to four months, says the company.

The customer, who provides critical services to the people of the United States, maintains the highest levels of layered security within its facilities and across its perimeter. The directors and stakeholders of this agency require the highest degree of unified access control, intrusion detection management, and integrated security management available. Their mission is made possible by researching, testing, and choosing the right products and professional services to meet their stringent security requirements.

The agency is also part of several international governmental organizations that share their research to identify security improvement efforts that meet mandated requirements related to Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12), Federal Information Processing Standard 201 (FIPS 201) and the Personal Identity Verification (PIV) of federal employees and contractors. MDI Security Systems and GSS deliver proven solutions that empower their government-based clients to comply with these mandates while keeping major components of their existing security infrastructure in place to reduce costs.
